I started listening to audio books a few years back in order to make my morning commute more interesting. But once my driving routine changed, I stopped listening. Though I still read a good book every now and again...I began missing the guilty pleasure of having someone read to me.
I realize audio books can be a bit more costly than an actual printed book. But listening to these stories makes me more productive. Instead of selfishly relaxing with a book, I'm able to carry on with my day to day activities with great enjoyment and anticipation. And as an artist, it's interesting to see my work take on the style or mood of the day's tale.
Which brings me to the wonderful book I just began, "A Dog's Purpose" by W. Bruce Cameron. A sweetly sad and emotional rollercoaster of a dog's love and insight. My creations today mindlessly gravitated towards blue and green tones. A quick search on google tells me this reflects feelings of love, kindness, devotion and emotional depth. Yep.... today's tale, filled with tears and laughter, can be seen on my workbench.
